METRONOME established unprecedented support from music industry patrons, the City of Toronto, construction industry donors, print/radio/television advertising donors, Canadian music artists, the architectural and design communities, Panasonic and thousands of Canadians from every province.

Due to its revenue generating components, METRONOME would be the first major Canadian cultural institution that requires no ongoing government funding.

Applications for matching construction funding from the Ontario and federal governments were declined and the project was paused.
